Privacy Policy

This policy explains what happens to your information when you use bedrocksurfacecoatings.com. It is written to match what this website actually does, and nothing more. Bedrock Surface Coatings operates this site. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean Bedrock Surface Coatings.

What we collect

Information you type into a form

This site has two forms: the quote form on our contact page and the promotion form on our promotions page. When you submit one, we receive:

• Your name
• Your phone number
• Your email address, if you enter one
• Your city or location, if you enter one
• The service you selected, or the garage size you selected
• Whatever you write in the project description box
• How you heard about us, if you select an answer
• Which form you used, so we know if you are responding to a promotion

Your name, your phone number, and a project description are required. Everything else is optional. Please do not put sensitive information in the description box. We only need enough detail to quote the work.

Information collected automatically

Like almost every website, ours records technical information when a page loads. That includes your IP address, your browser and device type, the page you are viewing, and the page or ad that sent you here.

Cookies and tracking

We do not show a cookie banner. Instead, here is the plain list of what runs on this site and what each thing does to you.

Advertising and analytics

We use Google Ads and Google Analytics on every page. Specifically:

• The displayed phone number can change. If you arrive from one of our ads, Google's call tracking may replace the phone number shown on the page with a forwarding number, so Google can tell us that ad produced a call. The number you see may therefore differ from the number on our business listing. Calls still reach us either way.
• Tapping a phone link is recorded. Any tap on a phone number on this site sends an event to Google Ads counting it as a conversion.
• Submitting a form is recorded. When you land on our thank you page after sending a form, that also sends a conversion event to Google Ads.
• Page activity is measured. Google Analytics records which pages you visit, how long you stay, and roughly where you are, to tell us which pages work.
• An advertising request fires on every page load, which lets Google's advertising network recognise a browser that has seen our site before and show our ads to it elsewhere.

Spam prevention

Our two form pages run Google reCAPTCHA. It watches how you interact with the page, such as mouse movement, typing, and timing, and scores whether you are likely a real person before we accept a submission. It sets its own cookies and sends this information to Google. You will see its badge in the bottom corner of those pages. Without it we would get flooded with automated junk.

What gets stored in your browser

These are set by Google, not by us. We set nothing of our own.

• _ga and a second cookie beginning _ga_, which tell Google Analytics apart one browser from another. They last about two years.
• _gcl_au, which Google Ads uses to link an ad click to what you do afterwards. It lasts about three months.
• _gcl_ls in local storage, used by Google Ads for the same purpose.
• Two more local storage entries used by the phone number swap described above. One holds the forwarding number to display, the other holds the date it expires. Their names are generated by Google and include its own campaign reference.

You can clear all of these at any time in your browser settings, and you can block them with most ad or tracking blockers. The site works fine without them.

Who receives your information

We describe these by what they do rather than by brand, except where their software is already visible in this page's source and naming it helps you act.

• A form delivery service. When you submit a form, it passes the contents to our email inbox. It receives every field you filled in, plus your IP address.
• Google, for the advertising, analytics, and spam prevention described above.
• Our web host, which serves these pages and keeps standard server logs including IP addresses.
• A hosted font service, which delivers the typeface used across this site. It receives your IP address and browser details on every page load.

That is the complete list. We do not pass your information to a customer management system, a mailing list tool, or a data broker, because we do not use any on this site. Links that take you off our site, such as the credit in our footer, are not covered by this policy. Once you click, the other site's own policy applies.

Why we use it and how long we keep it

We use what you send us to answer you, quote your project, and do the work. We use the automatic and advertising information to understand which of our ads and pages bring in real enquiries.

Quote enquiries stay in our email inbox. We keep them while we are talking to you and afterwards as an ordinary business record. We do not have an automated deletion schedule, so if you want your enquiry deleted, ask us and we will delete it.

Text messages

Both of our forms ask for a phone number, and it is required. We may call or text you about your enquiry.

When you tick the consent box on a form, you agree that Bedrock Surface Coatings may send you text messages about your quote and your project. Here is what that means:

• Message frequency varies.
• Message and data rates may apply.
• Reply STOP at any time to cancel. Reply HELP for help.
• Consent to receive texts is not a condition of purchase. Leave the box unticked and we will call or email you instead.
• See our Privacy Policy.
• Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Messages are sent through a third party messaging provider, which needs your number in order to deliver them. We do not sell or share your phone number for anyone else's marketing.

Your choices

You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Email contact@bedrocksurfacecoatings.com or call (509) 521-7044 and tell us what you want. We will not charge you and we will not treat you differently for asking.

To limit ad and analytics tracking:

• Turn off ad personalisation in your Google account at myadcenter.google.com.
• Install Google's opt out add on for Analytics from tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
• Opt out across many advertising networks at optout.aboutads.info.
• Turn on "Do Not Track" or a tracking blocker in your browser. Our site does not depend on tracking to work.

To stop text messages, reply STOP to any message from us.

Children

This site is for adults arranging work on a property. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we will delete it.

Security

This site is served over an encrypted connection, and form submissions travel encrypted to the services described above. We are a small business and we cannot promise that any method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.

Changes

If we change how this site collects or shares information, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
