CONCRETE COATING CONTRACTOR IN EASTERN WA
Concrete is everywhere — driveways, shop floors, basement slabs, commercial warehouse spaces, covered patios. Left unprotected, it absorbs moisture, oils, and contaminants that cause spalling, staining, and structural degradation over time. Concrete coating doesn't just improve how a surface looks — it extends its usable life by creating a hard, sealed barrier between the concrete and everything working against it.
Bedrock Surfacing & Coating provides professional concrete coating services for both residential and commercial customers across the Tri-Cities, Yakima, and Eastern Washington. We work with solid color epoxy systems for a clean industrial finish, full-broadcast chip systems for a durable textured look, and metallic epoxy for spaces where appearance matters as much as protection. Every project starts with thorough surface prep — no shortcuts, no thin coats over dirty concrete.
Whether you're protecting a shop floor in Kennewick, finishing a basement slab in Richland, or upgrading a commercial facility in Yakima, we bring the same level of prep and product quality to every job. We don't use box-store coatings. We use professional-grade epoxy and polyurea systems that bond correctly, resist wear, and look sharp for years.

Why Coat Your Concrete
WHAT A COATING ACTUALLY DOES FOR YOUR SURFACE
Protects Existing Concrete
A sealed surface resists water intrusion, staining, and chemical damage that gradually degrades bare concrete.
Extends Surface Life
A properly coated slab can last decades without major maintenance. That's a fraction of the cost of concrete replacement.
Fully Customizable
From solid gray to vibrant metallic swirls — the finish is yours to choose. We match the aesthetic to the space.
Easy to Maintain
Coated concrete sweeps and mops clean in minutes. No staining, no sealing every year, no pressure washing concrete back to gray.
The Process
HOW WE APPROACH EVERY CONCRETE COATING JOB
Site Assessment & Quote
We inspect the surface for cracks, moisture, contamination, and prior coatings. You get a clear scope and straight price.
Grind, Repair & Clean
Surface prep is non-negotiable. We grind, crack-fill, clean, and profile the concrete before any coating touches it.
Apply & Finish
Primer coat, broadcast or decorative layer, and UV-stable topcoat are applied in sequence to spec.
FAQ
CONCRETE COATING QUESTIONS
Can you coat any type of concrete?
Most concrete surfaces can be coated — garage slabs, basement floors, shop floors, commercial spaces, covered patios. Surfaces with active moisture issues, significant structural damage, or previous coatings that are delaminating may need remediation first. We assess this honestly during the quote.
How do I choose between solid color, flake, and metallic?
Solid color works well for commercial and shop spaces where clean and simple is the goal. Chip/flake systems add texture and hide minor surface imperfections — great for garages. Metallic epoxy is a premium decorative option for showrooms, basements, or spaces where the floor is a design feature.
Does the coating work outdoors?
Yes — for outdoor surfaces, we use UV-stable polyurea topcoats that resist yellowing and fading from direct sun exposure. Standard epoxy should not be used outdoors as a topcoat because it will amber. We use outdoor-rated systems for any exposed exterior surface.
Will the coating chip or peel?
Delamination is almost always a prep failure, not a product failure. Coatings applied over unprepared or contaminated concrete will peel. That's why we diamond grind every surface before coating — proper mechanical profile ensures the system bonds correctly and stays put.
